Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 May 2026

Chuck'it is built privacy-first. We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs in the app.

What we collect

Nothing. Chuck'it does not collect any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, crash reports, or analytics. We have no servers that store your data because we have no servers that receive it in the first place.

Where your saves live

Everything you save in Chuck'it — links, screenshots, text, notes, tags, and AI-generated summaries — is stored locally on your device. It never leaves your phone unless you choose to export it yourself.

All AI processing runs on your device using Apple's on-device models. Your content is not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other cloud AI service.

Network activity

The only time Chuck'it makes a network request is when you save a URL. To show you a link preview (page title, description, thumbnail), the app fetches public metadata directly from that URL. This request goes from your device to the website you saved — it does not pass through our servers, and we do not log it.

Third parties

None. Chuck'it does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.

Your data, your control

You can export your entire library as Markdown or JSON at any time from within the app. Deleting the app from your device deletes all of its data. Because we don't have a copy, there's nothing for us to delete on our end.

Children's privacy

Chuck'it does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is suitable for general audiences.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Chuck'it handles data, we will update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will also be communicated in-app or via TestFlight release notes.
